“No Love” took to Instagram just minutes ago where he revealed the following exciting news. Check it out.

“My wife and I are excited to announce that we’re expecting the biggest blessing of our lives!! Can’t wait to start this next chapter with you @pimsanguan ❤️#TheGarbrandts #MyMotivation” – Cody Garbrandt October 1/2018

Cody Garbrandt will attempt to make the very first defense of his bantamweight title at UFC 217 on November 4 in New York City, New York. His opponent will be his arch rival, former champion TJ Dillashaw.

Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw were originally expected to collide at UFC 213 this past July in Las Vegas. Regrettably, Garbrandt was forced out of the booking with a back injury, so their anticipated grudge match was put on ice. Though Dillashaw briefly flirted with a potential drop to flyweight for a fight with dominant champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, it appears his crack at bantamweight gold will go ahead as planned.

Garbrandt will enter this fight having last fought in December, when he scored a surprising but dominant upset win over once-dominant champion Dominick Cruz. The new champ is undefeated in MMA, and has bested Marcus Brimage, Henry Briones, Augusto Mendes, Thomas Almeida, Takeya Mizugaki and Cruz since joining the UFC. He’s 11-0 overall.

Dillashaw, meanwhile, lost the title to Cruz back in January of 2016. Since then, he has rebounded with lopsided wallopings of Raphael Assuncao and John Lineker. He’s 14-3 in sum.

UFC 217 is headlined by a middleweight title fight between reigning champ Michael Bisping and former UFC welterweight king Georges St-Pierre.
