During last night’s UFC 199 pay-per-view broadcast, UFC officials announced that former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar would be returning to the octagon at July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.
The news came as quite a shock, as Lesnar has not stepped foot inside the octagon since his 2011 TKO loss to Alistair Overeem.
Lesnar’s current employer, the WWE, released the following statement regarding “The Beast” fighting at UFC 200 on July 9 (via Jeremy Botter):
