As everyone knows by now, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos has pulled out of his UFC 196 lightweight title fight against Conor McGregor on March 5th.
With less than 2 weeks until fight night the UFC is scrambling to fight a replacement opponent for McGregor. Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, fresh off his submission win over Alex Oliveira on Saturday, has offered to take the fight. In addition, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis has also offered to step in on short notice and face McGregor.
Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson, who recently signed with Bellator MMA, took to Twitter to react to the news of RDA withdrawing from the fight.
