Scott Coker planning “serious discussion” with Wanderlei Silva

While Wanderlei Silva was just recently released from his UFC contract, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker plans on having a “serious discussion” with ‘The Axe Murderer’ about fighting in Bellator sooner rather than later.

Wanderlei received a lifetime ban from the NSAC, which was reversed and will see Silva get another hearing. Following that Silva accused the UFC of fixing fights, however he recently retracted his statement which subsequently led to the UFC releasing him from his contract.

On a recent episode of MMAJunkie Radio, Coker spoke about his plans to speak with Silva about potentially fighting in Bellator:

“Not every free agent is a fit over here, but Wanderlei is someone we would like to have a serious discussion with. I think he’s in Brazil right now, and I think he’ll be back in town next month, and we’ll have some dialogue.”
