Ian Machado Garry doesn’t understand why Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad for the UFC Welterweight Championship hasn’t been booked yet. Edwards is the reigning UFC welterweight champion, who was offered three fights for UFC 300, per Dana White. Despite this, he has yet to be booked against the consensus rightful number one contender Belal Muhammad. The situation has confused many fans and experts.

The three opponents that UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards was offered to face at UFC 300 have been revealed and none were Belal Muhammad. Muhammad is currently the second-ranked welterweight and most assumed would be next in line for the next title shot. However, it was a bit of a surprise when Dana White revealed after UFC 298 that Edwards was offered three different opponents for UFC 300 but none came to fruition.

The victory moved him to a ten-fight unbeaten streak, previously scoring wins over Sean Brady, among others.
