Anderson Silva appears to be training hard, releasing a video of him in a hard sparring session on Tuesday amidst rumors of a potential match-up with Georges Saint Pierre.

In the video you can see Silva and his sparring partner throwing some heat! It appears as though The Spider gets tagged early on in the video, and comes back by throwing several flurries of punches, including a reverse elbow which was thrown with ‘bad intentions’ as Mike Goldberg would say.

While that fight has yet to be made official, there have been a lot of hints along the way, including Anderson’s son Kalyl posting a photo of both his father and GSP with a caption mentioning an early Christmas present in December.

Silva looks fantastic in the video, throwing his patented reverse-elbow a la Tony Fryklund and with incredible hand-speed.

Take a look at Silva’s sparring session for yourself!

Silva most recently filled-in for Jon Jones at UFC 200 against light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The former middleweight kingpin has gone 0-4-1 in his last five fights, with the no contest coming after both he and Nick Diaz failed their drug tests following their UFC 183 showdown.

If Silva’s most recent video tells us anything, it’s that he’s still training hard and looks damn good from the minute-long clip.

GSP hasn’t stepped foot into the octagon since his 2013 split decision victory over Johny Hendricks. Saint Pierre retired after the Hendricks fight, and has remained relatively quiet ever since.

However, rumors of a GSP vs. Anderson Silva superfight have been popping up over the past few weeks, a fight that has been discussed amongst fans since the two men were both champions for over the past seven years.

How do you think Anderson looks in his most recent video? Does a fight with GSP excite you? And who would you pick in that fight, Silva or GSP? Sound off, PENN Nation!
