Anderson Silva cleared for training

By bjpenndotcom - June 2, 2016

Several weeks ago, Anderson Silva was slated to fight Uriah Hall on the main card of UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil. Unfortunately for ‘The Spider’, he was forced off the card after it was determined that he would need his gallbladder removed.

Despite that, Silva set his sights on a return at UFC 200 on July 9th after the surgery in May. Now, MMAFighting has received word that Silva was cleared to begin light training, however that doesn’t mean that he will be able to make a return at UFC 200.

With just over 4 weeks until the event, Silva’s boxing coach says it would be “really hard” for Silva to be ready in time for the event.

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
