UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta is once again engaged in a heated standoff with his employers stemming back to his recent 1st round KO win over Diego Sanchez last month. Prior to the fight, Iaquinta had been sidelined for two years while engaged in a dispute with the UFC over his contract.

Iaquinta and the UFC brass were at such a standoff that the top ranked lightweight even went as far as to retire and pursue real estate full time. Ultimately, ‘Raging’ Al and the UFC were able to reach an agreement, and the top ranked lightweight was scheduled to fight Diego Sanchez last month. Iaquinta then stepped into the Octagon against Sanchez, where he made a successful return to the Octagon as he handed Sanchez a first round KO.

Al Iaquinta

Iaquinta was not given a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus from the UFC for his knockout win over Sanchez, and ultimately went on a spree where he repeatedly went at his employers with a string of insults.

Now, Al Iaquinta has taken to social media to call for the UFC to cut him, saying:

This of course comes on the heels of Iaquinta calling out UFC President Dana White for his tipping habits, taking to social media to roast the UFC President in a string of Tweets which saw him call the UFC President “cheap” after mocking White’s tipping habits, as well as mocking him for being the “warrior king that never was one.”

'Raging' Al Iaquinta

So far the UFC President has yet to respond, however the UFC is likely taking note of Iaquinta’s criticism. In addition, Iaquinta has yet to have a fight booked following his win over Sanchez. With that being said, Iaquinta has been very open about the possibility of retiring from MMA and continuing his real estate career if things don’t go well with his employers.
