MMA NEWS | UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Overeem Set To Get “Primetime” Special On FX

The heavyweight title fight between Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem is without a doubt one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the year. The UFC and FX brass have apparently acknowledged that fact and as a result, will be releasing a three-part countdown to UFC 146 series in the infamous “UFC Primetime” format.

UFC 146 is set to go down on May 26 at Las Vegas Nevada’s MGM Grand Garden Arena. The heavyweight title fighter between Alistair Overeem and Junior Dos Santos will serve as the evenings main event.

The first episode in the three-part series is set to air on May 11, at 11 p.m. ET/PT and the following episodes will air in the same timeslot each week following. (May 18 & 25)

This will mark the third installment of the Primetime series on FX, the first of which was the highly acclaimed Diaz vs. Condit special and the second is the yet to be aired “UFC 145: Evans vs. Jones” Primetime special.

  1. Sick Brah says:

Sick brah, should be sweet, hope UFC do well with ubereem

  2. Chartmonster says:

Too bad Jds is facing the Reemmonster bc jds will go back to brasil empty handed.

  3. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Can’t wait! Both fighters are extremely interesting. JDS is gonna make an example Overeem and his three over hyped paper weights.

  4. DAMN! says:

    Welcome To Halloreem!

  5. Xaninho says:

Finally a Dutch UFC champ again! I feel bad for JDS, cause I really like the guy, but maybe a Dutch champ will open up a few doors to make MMA legit in Holland.

  6. Night-Wind says:

Reembiatch goes down like cain hahaha.

  7. Xaninho says:

Funny how the same Overeem-hating bitches come out of the woodwork again. Before the Lesnar-Overeem fight big talk how he would lose and how he is overrated, and after the fight all the hating couch fighters were nowhere.

I’m not saying it’s easy to beat JDS, but if anyone can it’s Overeem.

    • #ALWAYSRIGHT says:

brock lesnar sucked balls. if he would have fought JDS, he would have definitely got it worse. JDS is gonna (****) overeem.

  8. Bzzzzzzzz says:

I think overreem needs a few more fights before he is at his peak. I think he is being rushed into the UFC.
