It was incredibly brutal and totally unnecessary. I realize that ref’s have stopped too many fights too soon recently, but to let this go on was one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever seen in MMA. The fight should have been stopped at LEAST 10 seconds before it was. It was not the fault of the fighter, but the REF. He should have his license suspended.

Just for the record the state athletic commission is in charge of judging and refing. Bellator or the UFC have nothing to do with it. Its the athletic commission for that state that decides who the judges are.
You got it right on the money friend! It seems like most of these call mentor and friend have no idea what they’re talking about or have any clue of the rules of MMA. You think they might at least do a little homework. Hell, wikipedia is easy to use so is google.

Dude that’s ****ed up. Ref should have stopped it. That guy couldn’t even lift his arms or walk correctly. I hate one sided beatings like this. It makes me feel uncomfortable like I’m supposed to do something.
And we were real fans wonder why we still have such opposition to MMA?!! They need to do something about the refereeing and judging! I know it is up to the states that host the fights are the ones thatchoose the refs and judges with their athletic commission but we really need more unity! They have unified rules that need adjusting but they must have an association in place the covers everywhere MMA takes place!
It’s complicated, there have been a couple controversial stoppages lately and he probably wanted to give the guy a chance to come back but Warren was definitely done. I would have stopped the fight when I saw him leaning on the fence awkwardly. You need more refs who train or have trained in MMA and the more mainstream the sport becomes the better the refs will become. Eventually. Boxing as old as it is still has bad refs who make horrible decisions.
Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson should have been a NC instead of a TKO victory by the ref. But, I just looked it up on Wikipedia and it says the TKO was overturned and Bernard still retains his belt.

who cares Frankie Edgar takes the same beatings in everyone of his fights and gets the nod but they are suppose to stop all the otehr fights except Frankies. Warren has gotten beaten down in everyone of his fights and still got the nod so the ref knowing this let it go alittle longer. In Boxing the cornermen would have thrown in towel if they thought their fighter was in trouble. BLAME IT ON SCOTTIE “spot” JORGENSEN

Yea I loved loved it too. Warren got beat down in my hometown(HMD). The ref should have stopped it a little bit earlier, like when he turned his back.
