MMA NEWS – “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” Medical Suspensions Report

The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the list of medically suspended fighters from the most recent Strikeforce event that took place this past weekend.
10 fighters will have to serve medical suspensions from the card and four of them may be out up to six months.
“Strikeforce Rockhold vs. Jardine: took place this past Saturday from The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. In the main event Luke Rockhold made his first successful title defense in a dominating performance over Keith Jardine.
Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold as well as Tarec Saffiedine, Tyler Stinson and James Terry all received the lengthiest of suspension from the commission due to injuries suffered while competing.
The full of “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” medical suspensions is as follows:
Luke Rockhold: Suspended until July 6 due to a right-hand injury, though a doctor can clear him early
Keith Jardine: Suspended until March 8 with no contact until Feb. 22 for precautionary reasons
Adlam Amigov: Suspended until Feb. 7 with no contact until Jan. 29 for precautionary reasons
Lorenz Larkin: Suspended until Feb. 7 with no contact until Jan. 29 for precautionary reasons
Tarec Saffiedine: Suspended until July 6 due to a left-elbow injury, though a doctor (with an MRI and X-rays) can clear him early; regardless, suspended until Feb. 22 with no contact until Feb. 7 due to a left-eye laceration
Tyler Stinson: Suspended until July 6 due to left-thumb an right-knee injuries, though a doctor can clear him early; regardless, suspended until Feb. 22 with no contact until Feb. 7 due to a right-eye laceration
James Terry: Suspended until July 6 due to shoulder injuries, though an orthopedic doctor can clear him early
Trevor Smith: Suspended until Jan. 29 with no contact until Jan. 22 for precautionary reasons
Estevan Payan: Suspended until Feb. 7 with no contact until Jan. 29 due to a right-eye laceration
Alonzo Martinez: Suspended until Feb. 22 with no contact until Feb. 7 due to a bridge-of-nose laceration
