MMA NEWS – “King Mo” Commits To Strikeforce With New Contract Extension

“King Mo’ Lawal has recommitted to the Strikeforce promotion and extended his contract another four-fights.
The former Strikeforce champion is poised to fight Lorenz Larkin tonight at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine and the bout marked his last contracted arrangement with the promotion.
While “Mo” had many hopes to face the likes of cross promotional rival Rampage Jackson and with many MMA fans wanting to see the standout wrestler compete under the UFC, it would appear as if Dana White’s word is so far holding true in regards to possible Strikeforce/UFC crossovers and has opted to leave the fighter under the Strikeforce banner.
Lawal holds a current MMA record of 8-1 and is currently 3-1 under the Strikeforce banner with his lone loss coming way of knockout defeat delivered by the heavy handed Rafael Cavalcante. The Cavalcante marked the end to his title reign after his initial capture of gold over Gegard Mousasi.

I’m sorry but Jon Fitch is my hero!

Good call Dana! We don’t need another blanket in the UFC. I would cut him from Strikforce too.
So… We won’t be getting black on black crime.
I am getting tired of these articles about fighters resigning to Strikeforce. We all know that SF is going to fold at some point, just like Pride. As happened with Nick Diaz and Dan Henderson, when there are no more interesting fights for King Mo in SF, he will be moved to the UFC.
He ain’t ready for ufc comp any way
lmao a lot of lay and pray comments… he finished his opponent this weekend… he’s aight lmao
