MMA NEWS – Cyborg Says Trash Talk From Rousey Hurts The Sport

First of all, (Ronda Rousey) has been running away from me for a long time. We were going to fight, she talked a lot but left our division. And now she’s starting to talk because she knows that our fight will be difficult to happen. It’s easy to talk. She’s saying things that she shouldn’t be saying which hurts the sport. She’s directly affirming that I have used things before and disrespecting the Athletic Commission. In all of the fights I’ve had I passed the drug tests. What happened now was a mistake. I always respect my opponents, but with Ronda it will be different. She will have a year to train, that is, if she has the courage to throw hands with me. I will continue to train, I will compete in other sports such as jiu-jitsu and wrestling. It was a mistake, but it was good because I’ll continue to train and improve. She’ll have a year to get ready.”[/box_light]
In an interview with Brazilian media outlet, SportTV.com, former female featherweight champion, Cris “Cyborg” Santos reacts to the brash Ronda Rousey who has been publicly calling her a cheat.
Rousey, with only four-professional fights has put her name on the top of the list in women’s MMA. She has finished all of her opponents in under a minute and through her cleverly worded statements and interviews has already made herself one of the most famous women in the sport.
Is she bad for the sport? Can’t really say that she is.

I love how she said she past the test before, but made a mistake this time. As if she she forgot to do the part that allows her to pass the test after the needle.
I think she meant that this is the 1st time she used it…However, now that you say it like that it makes me wonder if that’s really what she meant.

I definitely agree KJOE she acts like it was okay for her to put the needle in her ass and to have done what she’s done UNTIL she got caught doing it, like it was okay until she made a mistake during her “pee clean please” process. She’s going to have a tough time doing any real wrestling and/or jui jitsu tournaments with this on her record as a professional also because she was suspended not by just Strikeforce but by the ATHLETIC COMMISSION. What a dumb women and what a pathetic excuse for an argument to defend herself!

Rousey’s an olympic judoka and has finished all of her fights practically instantly, all first round subs within a minute. Doubt she’s worried about ducking anyone, including Santos. Santos should be concerned, instead of brazen. Rousey will have the next year to improve her standup. Clinch and ground game, Ronda all day. War RRR!

I think failed test results are just a bit more damaging, but what do I know? I wanna see if Rousey can beat someone that has legit striking and ground game.
