MMA NEWS – Chad Thomas To Defend “Just Scrap” Heavyweight Title On January 14 Against Ologagae Faamau

A Heavyweight title bout is set to headline the “Just Scrap XV” fight card on January 14 between the champion, Chad “The Brahma Bull” Thomas and challenger, Ologagae Faamau.

“Just Scrap XV” is set to take place in Hilo, Hawaii from the Hilo Civic Auditorium On January 14.

“This is going to be a great heavyweight title fight between two guys who aren’t afraid to throw down for the fans. I am glad we are able to put it together for our main event of the night”, stated “Just Scrap” president JD Penn when asked about the matchup.

Chad Thomas is a large brawler from the streets of Hilo Hawaii. Training out of the Penn Training and Fitness center, he is the current “Just Scrap” heavyweight champion. With a fight record of 8-3 overall, Thomas will look to defend his title in front of his hometown crowd this January.

After fighting for the debuting ProElite version 2.0 promotion in an exciting bout that he lost via controversial decision, he recently bounced back to defend his “Just Scrap” Heavyweight title on October 15th against Tyler Lauifi.

Ologagae Faamau is another Hawaiian based scrapper looking to build a name for himself under the “Just Scrap” banner. A big man, who is one of the hardest working guys in his gym, will enter into his fifth MMA fight when he steps opposite Thomas next month.

He last saw action three months ago under the local “Destiny MMA” banner when he lost via a controversial stoppage due to his opponents repeated blows to the back of the head. The defeat marked his second overall loss making him 2-2 entering into the fight with the “Just Scrap” champion.

Tickets for the event are available at CD Wizard in Hilo and seating is on a first come first serve basis.
