MMA NEWS – Bowling vs. Peoples Added To “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” Card
Strikeforce officials have added a last minute lightweight bout to next weeks “Strikeforce Melendez vs. Masvidal” preliminary fight card.
Roger Bowling will face off with Jerron Peoples in an intriguing lightweight bout in San Diego.
The event, which features many of the Strikeforce stars, takes place on December 17 from the Valley View Casino in San Diego. The main card will air on Showtime and feature a main event between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal for the Strikeforce lightweight title.
Bowling was last seen under the Strikeforce banner this past July in a losing effort to Bobby Voelker. The bout marked the third installment of a trilogy match in which Bowling posted his only two professional losses.
Peoples is also coming off of a loss. He was last seen at Strikeforce Challengers 16 in a losing effort to Eduardo Pamplona. The loss marked the first of his career.
