With the next ‘Ultimate Fighter’ venture set to begin next week with TUF Nations, FOXSports.com has announced that the season’s finale has been set for April 16, and the UFC has its sights set on a bantamweight match-up between Mitch Gagnon and Tim Gorman.

No contracts have been confirmed, but FOX Sports reported that both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.  No details were given about the TUF Nations Finale’s location, but the event is expected to air on FOX Sports 1.

Gagnon (10-2) has won two straight in the Octagon after losing his UFC debut in a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance against Bryan Caraway.  Since that bout, the Canadian Gagnon has earned two submission victories against Walel Watson and Dustin Kimura.

Tim Gorman (8-2) may be remembered for his participation on ‘The Ultimate Fighter 18,’ though he was released after the elimination round due to a torn hamstring.  He will enter the Octagon on the heels of a three-fight winning streak.

In addition to the bout between Gagnon and Gorman, the TUF Nations Finale will feature the welterweight and middleweight tournament finals from the television show.  The two teams will be coached by Patrick Cote of Canada and Australian Kyle Noke.
