Miguel Torres Announces Departure From UFC, Signed To TITAN FC | MMA NEWS

I am writing this letter to inform you that as a result of my last loss, I was cut from the UFC. My next fight will be in Hammond, Indiana for Titan Fighting Championship on November the 2nd. I am excited to continue fighting, to regain my focus and to get back to what made me a champion. A special thank you to my manager, Glenn Robinson, my trainer, Firas Zahabi, my training partners, and all the staff at the UFC. I have dedicated my whole life to mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. From teaching, to training, and fighting from the lowest to the highest levels, my passion in life is to be the best that I can be. Until November 2nd…

  1. holy the ufc is harsh, lets send a guy packing after he gets knocked out… why not give him one more fight atleast.

    • Scotty says:

He is 3-4 since he lost his title in the WEC, 2-2 in the UFC and his wins havent even looked good.. Just seems when he started training at Tri Star, his whole career took a turn. Maybe if he wins a few in a row in other promotions and looks good, they will have him back!

      • Mike b says:

Agreed,he’s recent wins haven’t looked impressive at all.ever since he got ko’d he’s been keeping his fighters at bay and jabbing the shit out of them.and I agree ever since he started training at tri-star gym he’s been lackluster.dont mean to bash the guy but it’s true..anyways he is a good fighter and maybe the UFC should give him another shot.

        • Mike b says:

I think he’s never been the same since brian bowels ko’d him.but that happens to a lot fighters.they get ko’d and it’s hard for them to get back on track.im sure it’s very hard to rebound from that….I’m sure when Michael McDonald did the same thing it will be even harder for him.

  2. Dick Diaz says:

word, they should have given him one more fight especially in a division that isn’t even drawing well right now.

  3. Me says:

Miguel was considered to be one of the best P4P fighters in the world its sad to see them go downhill I wish he can make his way back to the UFC I will always be a fan of his! Maybe one day we could see a superfight between him and Urijah

  4. Gibby says:

man, thats still one fight i would love to see, cut after going 2-2, that sucks, then youve got the guys that hover round dana and the fertitas like dan hardy that can lose 4 in a row, still get another fight, and now his job is safe cause hes won 1! joke.

  5. 123 says:

because dan hardy comes to fight, u little bitch.

  6. FamilyGuy says:

Torres is gone because of the things he twitted before he lost.

  7. Wisdom of Penn says:

If you saw his battle against Mighty Mouse you would keep this guy here.. he is extremely skilled infused with very bad luck and perhaps the wrong people

  8. ballsackface says:

people can come back to ufc if they start improving. ufc is “generally” the elite.
notice i say generally, there are exceptions

  9. GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

I think it was his stupid ass mullet that got his ass fired.

100% agree he turned into ajabbberrrrfest after he started training at Tristar juts like boring ass GSP.

Torres use to be a “REAL FIGHTER” now he is a GSP wanna be

  10. wtf says:

He has been shit as of his last few outings. He cannot hang in the big show. No sense keeping him around.
