Miesha Tate Turns Down Idea of Fighting Fallon Fox | UFC NEWS

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Contender went on the record recently on whether or not she’d be willing to fight Fallon Fox, a female fighter who recently came out to admit that she in fact is a transgendered woman. Tate voiced her opinion to

“I wouldn’t do it,” Tate said, “If there was solid research that proved she’s 100% like a female, then I might consider it. ” She went on, “I have nothing against transgender people. You should live your life however you want. It’s about fighter safety. I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting in with someone who is a woman but developed as a man. I just don’t think it would be safe.”

Tate believes that there is an unfair advantage to a fighter who has developed as a man over many years, and that there may be certain added risks in fighting someone like Fox. What of larger mma organizations? What will they think of someone fighting in a women’s division who was a man for most of their life? There is no doubt a difference in strength and power when men and women are compared, and you consider the difference in natural physique.

When asked if she’d fight Fox, Miesha Tate cannot be bothered, as she is already scheduled to fight Cat Zingano. A fight in which the two will square off for the #1 spot to see who will be next to attempt to dethrone UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

The fight takes place next month at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale on April 13.

he should fight a man.dont care if he like to be called a woman born a man fight a man.

  2. Mee says:

I tend to agree with her, all political correctness aside, I don’t care if she identifies as a woman, she would hold an unfair physical advantage against other women.

      completely agree.

I don’t see this as bigorty by her or the fans…Fallon is built like a small man, not like a muscular woman and likley has power like a man not a woman.

This is not nearly as “political” as people say in my opinion…there are biological and physiological differences that homrones don’t change. Fox should fight only other transgender fighters…any camps that ler their female fighters figth him/her are not taking good care of their fighter.

  3. Gargoyle Wrestling says:

Fukc political correctness. This she-dude needs to fight dudes and quit abusing women. All this weirdo needs to do is lay off the estrogen for awhile and if he still has balls the testosterone will start building muscle. I wonder if he has cut his balls off? Is it known?

  4. The Way Of The Dutchman says:

I don’t care what Fox’s doctor says. There are also ‘doctors’ who think it’s fair when a 40 year old man fights with testosterone levels of a 20 year old……….Not enough estrogen in the world to completely undo the physical advantages Fox has being born as a male. This is not a former man competing in a shot put event. This is a former man beating up women in a bad way. Did you see what he did to the women he fought?

His shoulders are bigger than Overeem’s!
