The Strikeforce matchmaking department has added another bout to September’s “Melendez vs. Healy” event.

Lightweights Estevan Payan and Michael Bravo have agreed to kick off the evening’s preliminary card as the first bout of the evening.

“Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy” goes down from the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California on September 29. The main card is capped with a main event between Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez and Pat Healy. The two men meet for the Strikeforce lightweight title live on Showtime.

Bravo makes his promotional debut in this recent booking and does so on the heels of three straight victories inside the cage.

Payan has seen action in both the Shark Fights and Bellator cage. However, this newly acquired Strikeforce lightweight made his debut with the promotion a successful one this past January when he picked up a unanimous decision victory.
