Michael Bisping Opens As Heavy Favorite Over Tim Boetsch

By Jamie McAllister:
Michael Bisping looks to get back on track after dropping a close decision against now number one contender Chael Sonnen. Bisping makes his return to the octagon on the UFC 148 card on the 7th of July facing Tim Boetsch.

Coming into the fight the odds makers have Bisping as heavy favorite over Boetsch.

According to the latest edition of the MMA Oddsbreakers show, Bisping has been inserted as the sizable favorite at -315 and Boetsch +245 underdog.

Boetsch who recently upset Yushin Okami on the UFC 144 card knocking Okami out in the third round. Bisping coming off a close decision loss to Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox: Evans vs. Davis.

Bisping may be the more rounded fighter and more technical striker but Boetsch has the ability to end the fight at any time.

Anything can happen in MMA, but is this line set right ?

    He’s so sexy.

  2. TheXperience says:

Bisping is gonna **** Boetch up.. this is a straight mismatch imo….

    • Jason says:

Bisping hasn’t ****ed up any fighter. He might out point him but that’s all he can do.

      • Jim says:

That depends on your definition of ‘****ed up’. He’s stopped people, and now that he’s not so scared of being taken down, and stopped striking off his back foot, he can hit hard enough to do it more often.

        • UNO MOMENTOOOO says:

For sure bro, ppl are living in the past – I never used to like bisping but he has evolved and developed into a good fighter, most ppl will go against him bcos of his attitude – pure ignorance

  3. Alistair overeem says:

    I didn’t use any PED:s

  4. Nick Diaz says:

    Did I hear weed?

  5. Jb says:

Lol bis has never ****ed up any of his opponents. The only people who think he’s actually a good fighter are people from the uk or those who like fighters like Fitch, if you l

  6. TrigenicKin says:

I learned to stop doubting Boetsch after the Okami fight. ‘Nuff said.

  7. Yeas says:

Bisping out-points fighters and hasn’t ****ed anyone up? Do most people just talk out of their asses or have selective memory? Its like reading a thread about GSP all over again, except in this case, its even more ridiculous.

22-4, 14 by KO, 4 by Submission and 4 decision wins. 4 DECISION WINS! How can you out-point people if you only have 4 decision wins?!

Ok, lets just say you are still not believing my point. Lets compare him to a fighter that is a renowned KO fighter/finisher: Chuck Liddell. The Iceman’s record is 21-8, 13 by KO, 1 by Submission and 7 decision wins. Seems like Liddell would be a “point fighter” by the opinions of posters in this thread.

The ONLY point that could be made is that Bisping loses the big fights, Henderson, Evans and Silva and Sonnen to name the biggest. Even then, he beat Sonnen far as I am concerned.

Some of his most recent fights have been decision victories, but even then, none of it is ground humping as it is technical striking. Get over yourselves.

  8. Tom A says:

    Bisping via classy boxing !

  9. MARV3L0US says:

This is almost like his matchup with henderson. Bisping is gonna have to stick and move he’s not gonna take tim down and keep him down and he can’t trade punches with tim.. I’m not a boetsch fan but I hope he kos bisping.
