VIDEO | Maynard Talks MMA While Rocking RVCA and Training With Marinovich

Relocating to progressive California intersects with UFC lightweight veteran Gray Maynard’s forward competitive mentality as the laid-back fighter outside the cage intends to turn up the championship dial inside the cage.

See BJ, go train with these guys again and start murdering fools! When they trained you, you looked like an animal that was hungry Hawaiian! These haole guys know what their doing….want to see a rematch with you and diaz, gsp, then drop down to 155 and take henderson out!

Seems nice enough. No charisma though.

Marv and Gary are the best on the planet. Gray is gonna be a reborn fighter when we see him in June. The Marinovich’s have a way of transforming athletes and bringing out untapped potential. We saw that with BJ. I can’t wait to see what Gray brings to the cage against Guida.

  4. Funny says:

because BJ did some of the same training techniques just a few years ago that Gray is doing today. BJ was successful during that time (Florian & Sanchez fights, right?) and it remains to be seen how Maynard will do.

BUT, who has the Marinovichs trained since? And what is the price for the training they do?

    • Matt says:

I’ve heard they are very reasonably priced compared to others. If you are a pro athlete and need their constant eye, I’m sure its more money. If you are a kid that needs evaluated physically, they may evaluate you themselves and then hand you off to an assistant at the gym train you in groups for a lesser rate if that’s what you can afford. They are not wealthy men compared to their expertise and compared to some of their clients. I’ve heard they have been very generous and giving (of their time) to certain kids who are dedicated to their methods.
I don’t think they’ve trained a ufc fighter since BJ. Gray is the second major fighter that I know of to train with them. I think they get a lot of pro and college football players that seek them out for some offseason training. As well as a lot of high school and college athletes from around the area.
I’ve never trained with them due to location. But I hope to someday. And I’ve looked into this and what I’ve said is my impression from all that I’ve read about Marv and Gary. You can contact them.
