Matyushenko out, Hollett back in against Hamill at UFC 152 | UFC News

By: Chris Taylor
Vladimir Matyushenko (26-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) has been forced out of his UFC 152 bout with Matt Hamill (10-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) due to an injury. UFC officials stated that Matyushenko tore his Achille’s tendon and was obviously unable to perform.
Hamill was originally slated to face UFC newcomer Roger Hollett (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in Toronto. But, just three weeks ago, it was announced that Hollett had been forced off the card and Matyushenko had taken his place on short notice.
Now, with Matyushenko hurt, Hollett is back in against Hamill. It is not yet clear why Hollett was removed from the card to begin with this past month, as he was reportedly not injured.
Hamill retired from MMA after suffering back-to-back losses to Rampage Jackson and Alexander Gustafsson. Before those losses, Hamill was riding a 5-fight win streak.
The Bellator veteran, Hollett, has won 5 straight fights and looks to make a name for himself in the UFC with a win over Hamill.
UFC 152 goes down September 22 from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I’ve been watching the UFC since I was 18 I’m 29 now so that’s a good 11 years, and I have never seen the UFC this ****ed up…something’s gotta give.im speechless.
What a bitch gawwd!!!
Fighters who constantly get injured should get cut by the UFC so they ****in learn not to spar so damn hard and train like retards with douchebag partners or should be a disqualification and count as a loss for not showing up to fight when the UFC is wasting their money on these guys
I’m going to stop watching UFC if this stuff doesn’t get worked out. Look at some of the other promotions fighters outside of the UFC get hurt at least 1/4 of not even less the UFC fighters its ****
