Matt Brown Issues Apology For Recent Controversy

“I have spoken with the UFC about the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy and what is required and expected of me as a professional athlete under the terms of my promotion agreement,” Brown said. “The UFC has a policy of inclusion and respect for all people and I understand the importance of being more aware of my actions and words.”

Earlier today the world caught wind of Matt Brown’s introduction into the world of podcasting. With his own show titled, ‘Real Man Shit’, set in motion, the first broadcast was by all accounts a ratings smasher.

Unfortunately for Brown and company, they got those hits for all the wrong reasons.

During the show, Matt, gave his thoughts on women’s MMA and why he thinks they should all fight with their breasts uncovered and on full display.

The world was disgusted over it, the girls had their own ideas UFC officials spoke against it and now you are all caught up.

    I am furious that some guy said something that was his opinion and didn’t hurt anyone.

    Nothing like an apology. It’s a statement saying he’ll do as he likes but be more careful next time. I’m not going to comment on the rights and wrongs of what Brown did, but if the UFC accepts that statement as Brown showing contrition, their defence of women’s fighting looks kind of lipservice. If I was a female UFC fighter, I wouldn’t be happy with that.

    It’s pretty stupid for him to just say it out loud. I’m sure a lot of other male fighters share his opinion, but they’re smart enough to not say it in interviews.
