Mark Munoz Thinks He Can Definitely Beat Chris Weidman In Rematch

Mark Munoz, returned to action with an impressive win over top middleweight contender Tim Boetsch.

During his appearance on the FUEL TV post-fight show he took to the mic to give his take on what a rematch would yield for himself against Chris Weidman.

“You saw the real Mark Munoz tonight,” Munoz said on the UFC 162 post-fight show on FUEL TV. “And having said that, I want that title. I want that belt and I think I can definitely beat Chris Weidman.”

    love mark munoz. exciting and hes filipino like me but, chris weidman does pretty much everything better than mark. mark needs to clean up his striking or hes gonna get countered with another elbow like last time

    Munoz looked much, much better than he did against Weidman. Tremendous shape and he was relentless. If he would fight Wiedman now it would be a different fight. Not that he would bag a 100% win but at least he’d have Weidman work for it.

    What a joke. He wins one and is asking to be considered in the mix for the title??? Mark Munoz would never beat Weidman. Chris has better bjj, wrestling, and stand up. Wins one fight and says all of this…is he serious?
