Marcus Davis Returned To Action Last Thursday, But Opponent Cried Foul Play During Panic Attack | MMA NEWS

Former UFC welterweight, Marcus Davis returned to action last Thursday under the Bellator banner.

During his brief return to action, he allegedly landed an illegal groin shot that disabled his opponent and left him unable to continue.

In the aftermath of the bout, the medical staff on scene told Davis that there was no physical contact with the groin of his opponent and instead, it was revealed that he suffered a panic attack mid-bout that left him unable to continue.

With that bit of info, “The Irish Hand Grenade” is set to petition the athletic commission to overturn to “no contest” into a victory.

Here is a gif of the shot, decide for yourself what really transpired.

  1. The Way Of The Dutchman says:

That was a knee to the cup. I don’t know how hard but that was definitely in the groin.

  2. Seriously? says:

Panic attack really? I”m sure what the medical staff “told” Davis was completely different than what happened bc he’s making that up. If you can’t tell that’s a shot to the groin, then it’s a good chance you don’t have nuts. People actually disputing obvious groin shots. A portion of the MMA community really showing their ignorance again *smh

  3. NotBlind says:

    Obviously a cup shot.

  4. James says:

It doesn’t take a professor to see that was an illegal knee to the groin… Or does it? in Bellators case it does!

Clearly to the groin, there is no two ways about it, might not of been directly on the cock but it hit the cup which would force it into the groin causing some pain (Hard to describe the pain but feels like burning sensation)

  5. Ddddddd says:

If the doctor that spoke with Wolf said this, why wouldn’t it be true? I questioned the shot myself and thought it looked like with the shorts hiked it was at the waist line. Hasn’t this guy had issues with anxiety before? I know he was way overmatched and I could see it before he might have had the wind knocked out of him. He was sweating like a mutant and that could be a sign of panic attack all day.
