Maldonado Out Of UFC On Versus 6 Bout With Rosa Due To Injury

The injury bug strikes once again.
This time it’s UFC on Versus 6 undercard fighter, Fabio Maldonado, who has been forced out of his light-heavyweight matchup with Aaron Rosa due to an undisclosed injury.
UFC officials announced the change earlier this afternoon via twitter.
The show which features a bantamweight title fight between champion, Dominick Cruz and challenger, Demetrious Johnson is set to take place on Oct. 1 from the Verizon Center in our nation’s capitol of Washington D.C.
A Strikeforce, Bellator and EliteXC veteran, Rosa made his octagon debut this past June. The 28-year-old Texan went toe-to-toe with an always-tough Joey Beltran and ultimately succumbed to a third-round TKO. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak.
He now waits for an opponent to fill the void left by Maldonado.
The latest UFC on Versus 6 card now includes:
MAIN CARD: (Versus)
• Champ Dominick Cruz vs. Demetrious Johnson (for bantamweight title)
• Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve
• Charlie Brenneman vs. Anthony Johnson
• Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman
PRELIMINARY CARD:

• Michael Johnson vs. Paul Sass
• Mike Easton vs. Jeff Hougland
• Aaron Rosa vs. TBA
• T.J. Grant vs. Shane Roller
• Josh Neer vs. Keith Wisniewski
