Maia vs. Kim & Fukuda vs. Philippou Added To Growing UFC 148 Card

Two additions to the UFC 148 card have just been added by UFC officials.
A middleweight contest between Constantinos Philippou and Riki Fukuda have been added along with the welterweight debut of Demian Maia in his bout against Dong Hyun Kim.
UFC 148 is expected to go down on July 7 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. In the headlining fight UFC champion Dominick Cruz will attempt to defend his title for a second time against Urijah Faber.
Maia last saw action during the UFC on FOX 2 telecast. The former title challenger dropped a decision loss in the bout to Chris Weidman and that defeat has sent him packing down a division.
Kim will look to upset the 170 pound debut of Maia in this bout. The Korean based fighter had unblemished record until he stepped opposite Carlos Condit and got knocked out in the very first round. In his most recent appearance he was able to bounce back from that defeat and earn a victory over Sean Pierson.
Fukuda last saw action taking out Steve Cantwell at UFC 144. The victory bounced him back from his debut loss to Nick Ring.
In against the former DEEP champ will be Philippou. He brings into the fight a three-fight win streak that includes wins over Jorge Rivera and most recently Court McGee.
