Listen to BJPenn.Com Radio Featuring Stephen & Ray Thompson, Ronda Rousey, Matt Hughes & BJ Penn

In case you missed the Wednesday night debut of BJPenn.Com Radio here is your opportunity to listen to the greatest collection of mixed martial arts stars ever put together on one show.

To kick off the night, Bryan and Mitch were joined by UFC welterweight prospect Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and his father/head coach Ray. Thompson was scheduled to compete at UFC 154, but suffered a knee injury that will keep him out of action until February of 2013. Having trained with Georges St. Pierre and Rory MacDonald extensively, Stephen as well as Ray gave their predictions on both of their upcoming fights along with the UFC 154 co-main event welterweight matchup featuring Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann.

Former Strikeforce and newly crowned UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was up next. The first ever female to sign a UFC contract spoke about the state of Strikeforce, Invicta Fighting Championships and what she does to keep busy when she’s not training. When she was asked when we could expect to see women inside the Octagon, Rousey unexpectedly clammed up. Less than 24 hours later reports surfaced that she had signed a UFC contract.

UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes pulled over on his way to an Elk Hunt to discuss a variety of topics including his career, whether or not we will see him fight again, his battles against BJ Penn and GSP, and The Ultimate Fighter. The 9x UFC Welterweight Champion shared some great stories and waited around for BJ Penn to come on the air so they could make plans to train together.

Speaking of Penn he joined the show and took some questions from some listeners via Twitter. “The Prodigy” told the hosts about VADA testing and how important it is to beat MacDonald. Penn is not looking to what is next and is completely focused on the task at hand. He did take some time to discuss his battles with Hughes and thanked his ever loyal fans for always being there for him. December 8th can’t come soon enough for Penn Nation!
