Lauzon vs. Varner Booked For UFC on FOX 4 | UFC NEWS
UFC officials announced late last night Joe Lauzon faces the former WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner who takes another short notice for the upcoming UFC on Fox4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Ca scheduled for Aug 4, 2012.
Lauzon was expected to face Terry Etim but is injured. Varner steps in after returning from a remarkable knockout of Edson Barboza during the UFC 146 last month in Las Vegas.
UFC on Fox4 main card includes Ryan Bader vs Lyoto Machida, Ben Rothwell vs Travis Browne, Maurcio Rua vs Brandon Vera adding Joe Lauzon vs Jamie Varner.

this event is better then some of the ppv’s lately.
it’s been fun watching Varner’s resurgence….should be a good fight. JV may have a tough time dealing with the length of JL’s arms but he is probably used to that.

Yeah good matchup, pretty sure varner came froma grappling background, but hes very well rounded, but so is Lauzon, he ko’d Pulver with one shot, and planted guiliard witha lead hook.. i think JLO takes it by sub
