Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Abel Trujillo announced for UFC 160

The UFC 160 card keeps filling up as a Lightweight fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Abel Trujillo has been officially announced.

Nurmagomedov, 19-0, will look continue his impressive winning streak to start his career. He has fought three times in the UFC, and he has been nothing short of impressive. His most recent victory came at UFC on FX 7, where he defeated Thiago Tavares by TKO in the first round. Nurmagomedov is a top prospect at Lightweight that has diversity in his MMA skills. He is that rare fighter that boasts power in his punches, but can be lethal with his submissions.

His opponent may not be undefeated, but he should definitely not be overlooked. Trujillo, 10-4, comes into this fight on the heels of a TKO victory over Marcus LeVesseur at UFC on Fox 5. Currently riding a five fight winning streak that dates back to the end of 2011, a win over Nurmagomedov could solidify his status as a top Lightweight in the UFC.

He may also have some added outside pressure as well. Trujillo fights out of the Blackzilians MMA camp, and they have not been fairing too well as of late. As most of the big names from that gym (Evans, Overeem, and Guillard) have lost their most recent fight, the one exception is Vitor Belfort. Trujillo will look to get the Blackzilians back on their winning ways.

UFC 160 is scheduled for May 25th in Las Vegas, Nevada, and features the rematch of UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva, Junior dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem, and the recently announced Cerrone vs. Noons.
