Khabib Nurmagomedov Calls Out BJ Penn & TJ Grant

“I have asked for a fight with BJ Penn but I have not received a response,” he said. “Perhaps they have different plans for him. I wanted to fight someone I watched on TV when I was younger. He is a legend.

“If BJ is not available I would love to fight (TJ) Grant. If he feels that he is the next title contender let him prove it by beating me at UFC 165 (September 21) in his homeland.”

At 20-0 UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov is ready for a named opponent. In his last bout he easily walked away with a win over Abel Trujilo, but is the AKA trained, Russian Sambo Champion ready for the elite?

Khabib for the win against both fighters, one at a time or all at once! Khabib is best bro, best fighter ever bro. I love him bro

  2. KIDD433 says:

20-0 speaks for itself, but I think he needs to get his name out there with some more victorys in the octagon. That being said, He’s not in a position to be calling out An innactive legend, or the #1 contender.

  3. MMACRAVER says:

I really hope BJ doesn’t even consider this.

Don’t need a repeat of what Rory Mac did to him.

All respect to BJ but, this kid is younger hungrier and had his whole life to learn from guys like BJ.

  4. Keoni says:

Bj would absolutely destroy khabib! So disrespectful for him to call out bj! What has he done to deserve a match w a legend and p4p great? When bj comes back he should get an immediate shot at the belt!!! Either at welter weight or light weight! Khabib is such a coward he knows bj is walkin around at like 190 and he prob can’t make the weigh or else why would he call out bj when everyone knows bj is the best light weight in history!

    • krafty11 says:

walking around at 190?? you think he let himself go that much?? Didnt he say he usually weighs around 170 or so during his off season time..granted , he has had an extended off season, but 190 is a stretch to say the least..

Your comments have to be a joke, if not you are the stupidest mthrfckr I have seen. First you say the weidman and silva fight was stopped early now you say that bj could beat this guy and he deserves an immediate title shot at 55 or 70. Bj wouldn’t have a chance to beat ben henderson first of all, but gsp would absolutely destroy bj once again didn’t you see their last fight. You are the stupidest mm a fan in the world if you are actually serious. If you have actual mental problems I apoligize.

  5. Isaiah says:

If anything bj fights grant. Better match up for bj and he’s fight a guy that had a title shot not a guy two or three fights away…bj fight grant

  6. Ddddddddd says:

I’d like to see him and Diaz

  7. doc says:

BJ would smash this guy. He is 20-0 against who? He beat two okay fighters in the LW division. He cannot hang with BJ yet. Give him another year.

  8. Jamie says:

Let me say this BJ may b getting older but if he gets pissed and shit talking motivated he is still one of the top ten in the world in lightweight.
