Just Scrap XVI Fight Announcement | Junk vs Akau

By Evan Stoumbelis:
As announced by Just Scrap president JD Penn, Scott “Punk Haole” Junk will face off against Maui native Adam Akau at “Just Scrap XVI”. This event will take place May 4th at The War Memorial in Maui.
Scott “Punk Haole” Junk made his UFC debut in 2007 at UFC 76 where he tapped out to Christian Wellisch. The leg-lock executed by Wellisch re-injured Junk’s knee, forcing him to take a 17 month leave from MMA. He made his return to the UFC when he made it onto season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter. Scott lost in the preliminary round to Matt Mitrione via majority decision. Mitrione went on to lose his next fight against James McSweeney.
Maui native Adam Akau has only had 3 professional fights, with all 3 ending by submission. He holds a total record of 3-2, and a professional record of 1-2. On May 4th in Maui he hopes to derail Scott Junk’s dreams of making it back to the octagon.
These are two of the best heavyweights in Hawaii, and this event is one you surely wont want to miss as this fight is sure to deliver plenty of excitement.
