Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez Rematch Planned For UFC 152 | UFC News
By Jonathan Kirschner
UFC President Dana White took to the podium at the UFC on FX 3 post-fight press conference and revealed the promotion’s plans for the upcoming UFC Heavyweight Title fight. Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez are set to have their rematch at UFC 152 in Toronto.
Junior “Cigano” dos Santos captured the title from Cain Velasquez last November at the first UFC on FOX event. What was expected to be a tough, back-and-forth battle turned out to be a one-man show. Junior utilized his elite boxing skills to knock out Velasquez in only 64 seconds. “Cigano” continued his win-streak at UFC 146 where he successfully defended the title against Frank Mir. Mir was the 11th man to suffer a knockout loss at the expense of Junior dos Santos.
Cain Velasquez coincidentally made his return to the octagon at UFC 146 where he brutally dominated Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in a bloodbath of a fight. It was his first bout back since his loss to Junior dos Santos, his lone defeat in mixed martial arts.
UFC 152 is projected to take place on September 22, 2012 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Stupid. Cain gunna get knocked out AGAIN. Then there isn’t gunna be any contenders left for jds to fight besides overoid.
Yeah that’s pretty stupid alright…. to actually set up a fight between the Champ and the number one contender makes no sense what so ever… smh
If Cain is the number one contender this division is about to be another middle weight class.
Since Junior had the hard way to the belt he beat most of the top guys already, aint many people left haha. Hope Mark wins his next fight, I rather see skilled fighters get title shots instead of popular ones.
