The two men he has in mind, Josh Barnett and Travis Browne, are set to face off this month at UFC 168.
“I believe it would [make sense to fight Barnett or Browne]. The heavyweight division is in a great moment right now. We have great fighters, and you never know what’s going to happen in a heavyweight fight. One punch can change everything,” dos Santos said.
“I don’t know what’s next for me, and I don’t choose opponents,” dos Santos said. “I’ll be ready for anyone, but I believe my next opponent can be either Josh Barnett or Travis Browne.”
Browne looks to extend his winning streak to three against Barnett, after two straight Knockout of the Night victories against Alistair Overeem and Gabriel Gonzaga. Barnett has returned to the UFC after a stint in other organizations, and now looks to build on his momentum after a knockout victory over Frank Mir.
