Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks Booked For FOX Show
A welterweight bout between Josh Koscheck and Johny Hendricks has been booked for an upcoming UFC on FOX event.
UFC president Dana White announced the news just moments ago.
UFC on FOX 3 is set to take place in New Jersey from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford on May 5. In the main event lightweights Nate Diaz and Jim Miller will throw down in a five-round non-title fight.
Hendricks last saw action against Koscheck’s former teammate John Fitch. He was able to upset the longtime number two ranked welterweight with a flash knock out in the very first minute of the first round of action.
Koscheck took to UFC 143 in a hard fought decision win against Mike Pierce in his more recent outing. The win was his second straight since losing a bid for the UFC’s title against GSP.

I gotta watch more of Hendricks fights to make a call for the winner, but on paper it seems like a pretty evenly matched fight with a bit of a strength and power striking edge to Hendricks. Hendricks apparently is a solid wrestler too. Almost seems like Dana is giving Kos fights with tougher strikers to knock him down the ladder with Fitch – bring in some new blood in the top 5.

This is a very good fight for both. Kos has one of the best chins and can bring it. We don’t know what Hendricks can take. But questions will be awnser. Kos just needs a good training camp with some good coaches. He said he has been training himself for his last three fights and it shows. If he has a good camp, he should win. If he does his own thing again…
