Josh Barnett | "I believe I’m the best heavyweight out there in the world"
By Jamie McAllister
Josh Barnett comments in an interview with MMAWeekly Radio.
When asked when he would end up in the UFC.
“It’s really unimportant. I think all the speculation is good for the people that enjoy the sport and they want to watch, and they want to be a part of that guessing game ‘what’s next,”
“You read a comic book and you’re always waiting for the next issue, but you’re always thinking about what happens if some of the X-Men end up fighting The Avengers, or if Iron Man left the team. That part is unavoidable.”
Barnett admits the constant asking of when he will join the UFC is beginning to get under his skin.
“For me, it’s actually starting to become annoying, but I understand the reason to ask it because who wouldn’t want to fight in the UFC?”
Barnett would however love to go over to the UFC and challenge the likes of Junior Dos Santos & Frank Mir.
“I’d love to go over there and beat everybody up and sit on top of that pile too. I believe I’m the best heavyweight out there in the world, so what better way to prove it than to punch everybody else in the face first.”

Funny how he hasn’t mentioned the fact of him being a juicer might be preventing him from signing with the UFC.
A three time caught juicer.
Barnett is definitely a top 5 HW at least.
Uhhmmm no you’re not….
Uh yes he is.
nuhuh
I bet Barnett and Nate Marquart make it back into the UFC in 2013.
I’d like to see him beat Cromier first. Two first round wins by arm triangle against guys who’s ground games aren’t exactly the talk of their talent doesn’t impress me. At least Cromier will be able to keep it off the ground to make it a decent enough fight. That being said, if he is top ten heavyweight material, he hasn’t even cracked 7th yet.
Yeah he’s the best heavyweight on losing to Cro Cop.
An he’s the best on getting busted of Roids too.
Lol talk talk… Action….. None in ufc lets,see it….lol
I’ve never even heard of this guy…what a joke…LoL…
You’ve never heard of Josh barnett?… Go sit down MMA Fans are talking.
Lol
I think that’s a pretty big joke on your part.
Barnett would get smashed by any top 5 fighter in any division.
The reason you havent heard of him is because you only watch ufc and think that is all there is to mma.
Josh would have been in the sport years ago if he had not got caught multiple times with roids. Listen back in the day you fought for pride yeah you were bad ass a year ago you fought for strike force ya might be good. Now forget it if you are fighting anywhere other than the UFC ya might be good but your facing subpar competition.
I didnt say barnett was the best, i said this guy hasnt heard of him because he only watches ufc. Your reply to my comment makes no sense
Barnett was in the UFC, Youngest heavyweight champ.
