UFC NEWS – Jose Aldo Fight Camp: The Maynard Connection

“I met Gray when I was going to fight Kenny, he was the main event against Frankie. We were always joking around with each other. From there we started a friendship. I told him it would be great if he could come train with us. Good for him and good for us. It’s great to have such a talented guy come over. And thank god, now was a good time for him to come. He came around now that I am needing a wrestler to train with. Gray is a great wrestler who has a lot of experience and is a great competitor. So it was great to have him test our skills. I hope this partnership will last, and that he will come train for his fights here. For us to learn from him and for him to train with a lot of good lightweights.”

gray maynard is the perfect guy to train with when fighting Mendes, Easy win for Aldo

    • RCS says:

Not all wrestling is the same much like stricking. Maynard has a big man wrestling game Mendes explodes more in take downs. Mendes top game has more levels then Maynards as well so.

      • Mo says:

Point is, Aldo is working on stuffing take downs….

      • IknowMMA says:

Mendez top game has more levels than maynard?
You have no idea of what you are talking about.

        • "H"BOMB says:

thank you mendes is just relentless with takedowns and is QUICKER than gray by far but gray is far more powerful than chad and deff good for aldo to train with in prep for this fight the power will come into play when jose needs that extra push in the later rounds and inflicting more punishment on chad it’s gonna be a good co main and main event can’t wait to hear about it the day after…
