Jorgensen vs. Wineland Slated For UFC on FX 3
A bantamweight bout between two top contenders has been booked for the UFC’s June show on FX.
Both Scott Jorgensen and Eddie Wineland have agreed to square off.
UFC on FX 3 is tentatively scheduled for June 8, but a location and venue have yet to be revealed by company officials.
Scott once fought for gold against reigning champion Dominick Cruz however he fell short in the bid to win the bantamweight title. He went on to win two straight contests before dropping his last fight via decision against Renan Barao at UFC 143 last month.
Wineland is the first ever WEC bantamweight champion. However, he hasn’t been able to find the same success as his upcoming opponent in recent history. Eddie brings back to back losses into this fight, against Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez and he likely fights for his job against a very tough Jorgensen.
