Jorge Masvidal | Nine Out Of 10 Times I Can Beat Gilbert Melendez

“The [broken] hand? Yeah it affected me a bit in the Melendez fight, I’ve had surgery and getting it fixed up now for another fight. I think if I fight Melendez 10 times I win nine, that’s always how I feel…. so yeah it’s a fight I should of won. I want to fight again soon… once my hand is 100% I’m fighting… I feel like I won that fight and yeah I would take a rematch. That’s a fight I win. I been robbed more than your local 7/11 but I just want to fight and win. If I fight Melendez again, I will win.”

I like this guy but he is tripping a bit with that
I thought Melendez kicked his ass and fight wasn’t even close. I doubt he could beat Melendez one out of 100 tries
he meant in his dream 9 out of 10 times. he got his ass whooped!
Didn’t even see the fight. So I have no opinion.
then y did u comment….
ha yeah dick head
It was a replay of st.pierre vs kos 2 without the swollen eye.
yea except gil was the one with the ****ed up face and masvidal unscathed… totally see your point!
I think he may have won a round and he was more competitive than I thought he would be, with a different camp he might win but its more like 4-10
i wanted him 2 win but i dont even remember him winning a round, he got beat up face the music he does not deserve a rematch st8 up
Beat off maybe.
lol rofl
Too bad they only fought once then huh?
I guess Gil only needed that 1. That’s all it took. Shucks… Oh well. NEXT!
9 times out of 10! You must be one very unlucky guy.
hes got waaay better technic than Gil and one could argue he outclassed him techincally speaking, but he definitly lost the fight no doubt.
you are totally stupid,……he did not outclass shit…do u know what the meaning is of outclass,,that is when u fight so well u make the guy look like less then u….u cant lose a fight and outclasss someone…maybe you can outclass someone 4 rounds then get caught with a punch and get ko…but u cant lose a decision and outclass someone…learn some english an mma words
FFFFFFUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK YYYYYYOOOOOOOOUUUUUU JORGE, you idiot. Gilbert got you all day, you hood rat mother ****er.
He fought the entire fight with a broken hand and still managed to mutilate gils face. Yeah, he totally stands no chance in a rematch. ****ing trolls.
your name is Jon Blaze on here, and you’re calling everyone else on here troll. Cool dude, i’m sure you have tons of friends.
Not to say that i agree with him 100% but he has a point. I watched their fight and personally i think he won the fight. He was very tentative with his strikes and still managed to bust up Gilbert’s face using only a jab. absolutely I think he can beat and did beat Gilbert Melendez. This guy is very overrated. He’s middle to lower UFC light weight talent. He wants to fight either BJ Penn or Anthony Pettis. I believe he has a rude awaking coming. BJ will beat him and Anthony Pettis will finish him. I hope they do bring him to the UFC so he and all the people including the Strikeforce commentators that call him the best light weight in the world are proven wrong. he’s a quality fighter but he’s not the best light weight on the plant. not even close. The thing that makes me not like him is not his talent as a fighter. Its that he has a very big mouth a very big ego and he thinks he”s way better than I believe he is. Bring him to the UFC Dana!!
your a retard,..what fight did u watch buddy wow….even jorge nutsuckers saw he lost,,even his corner said it….gil would smash pettis aand bj would be a great fight,,,gil is same style bj ..he gets it done…
lol +1
Hey slonesy!!! buddy before we get started smart guy go back to school and retake english class so you can learn your spelling and grammar. Now I did watch the fight and yeah I think Jorge could have easily won the fight. He picked the man apart with a Jab alone. He busted up Gilbert’s face and got beat in the stand up without really throwing a punch. it was a very close fight smart guy. what tells me you know what don’t know what the hell your talking about is saying that he would “smash” Pettis. No lightweight in the world would smash Pettis.dummy! And yeah he does have the same Style as BJ.Except BJ has good stand up and has prove against top UFC competition not in the “d” b team Strikeforce. Reply back when the bell rings and you leave your english class that your probably gonna fail. Smart guy!!
He’s another one that doesn’t take his job serious and his fight shows.
gimmie a break
i like when fighters say shit like this…after they lost to the guy.
melendez is overrated give him clay n pray then we’ll see…
he already beat clay and pray dummy
He’s completely delusional, I’ve had the misfortune of seeing this guy fight in person and everyone in the arena wanted him out of the cage after the first round.
I believe Masvidal would win in a rematch. Melendez is a high tempo fighter but his stand up is limited to the standard double jab-straight. Stylistically, Masvidal has the advantage over Melendez and I’m interested as to how the fight would play out minus the broken hand.
you are so out of your mind Masvidal, he beat your ass for 5 rounds…. you had no tools against him, it´s patetic what you are saying.
As a matter of fact I thougt that you could win that fight but I was so wrong… El Niño is the real deal in Strikeforce…
Gil is overrated. How could he be the best when he’s never faced the best? Get back on that horse street fighter.
