Jon Jones vs. Rashad Evans Official For UFC 145 In Atlanta

The light-heavyweight grudge match that fans have been clamoring for has been booked and made official.
Jon Jones and Rashad Evans was confirmed by UFC officials late last night and the two will now get to settle their year-long grudge.
UFC 145 is set to go down from Atlanta’s Phillips Arena on April 21, in the main event light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will attempt to defend his UFC title against bitter rival Rashad Evans.
The two former teammates have been feuding since Jones spoke up publicly about his willingness to fight Evans should the UFC propose. This statement broke their prior agreement that being teammates they would never fight.
Evans has long been the number-one contender in the division, but over the course of the last two-years has missed opportunity after opportunity to fight for the title due to injury. He is now healthy and has medical clearance.
Evans last saw action in the five-round main event of the UFC on FOX 2 card against the previously unbeaten Phil Davis. In the bout he decisively outpointed the wrestling standout to earn a shot at the title held by Jones. Evans is a former champion who lost his title to Lyoto Machida back at UFC 98 in 2009. To date the Machida loss is the only blemish on his record.
Jones has been unstoppable his entire MMA career. He initially won the title against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 128 in March of last year and has since defended it successfully two-times, most recently against the only man to beat Evans, Lyoto Machida.

This will be funny when they start talking, ego vs. ego. But I don’t know why people think Jones is going to beat Rashad easily. This will be Jones’s toughest fight.
JJ toughest fight is the machida fight
This will be Evan’s toughest fight. He isn’t scared of Evans.
Jon Jones by elbow bashing… Second round
Bones Jones is going to beat rashad.
Jone’s by anyway he wants!
Atlanta!!!!! A-Town!
theres not a guy in the whole UFC not Dos Santos not Silva not GSP that could beat Jon Jones he’s the best fighter ever no one will beat this man not for a long long time.
now you just sound dumb. there are plenty of HW’s that would manhandle jon jones. he wouldnt know what to do with a size/reach disadvantage. dont get my wrong, im not a jones hater. one of my favorite fighters actaully. hes entertaining, brings it every time, and isnt cocky at all but confident. but your blowin him way too hard. he has so so so much more to accomplish before you could even think of having him in the league of best fighters ever
JDS, Overeem, Cain Valasquez… They can beat Jones. Kongo could beat Jones or at least put on an entertaining fight.
