Jon Jones Makes the Cover of EA Sports UFC, to be Joined by Fan-Voted Second Fighter

One half of the two-man cover for the highly-anticipated EA Sports UFC game has been announced. That man is UFC light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. Jones was picked based on this set of standards via the official website for the game:

The fighter we ultimately chose is one whose talent, technicality and toughness we felt best exemplified what makes us, as fans, excited to sit down with friends to watch a UFC bout, and keeps us talking about it the next day. Or week…

As for the fighter who will join him on the cover, that decision will be left to a vote as fans can go online to www.ufc.com/covervote

The 16 candidates for the cover include a host of current champions and top contender. They are Demetrious Johnson, Dominick Cruz, Urijah Faber, Jose Aldo, Benson Henderson, Georges St-Pierre, Johny Hendricks, Chris Weidman, Junior dos Santos, Chael Sonnen, Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier, Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate and Gustafsson.

Awwww no BJ?! We have people like DC and Bisping but no BJ Penn?!

Probably will just vote for GSP or Gus, Gus would make the most sense.

I gotta agree with you. Yushin Okami is more exciting than DC(I can’t help it, I take any available opportunity to bash Cormier). Dominick Cruz as well? He hasn’t had a fight in years. Also, no Anderson, Cain, or Pettis as options? They need a revised list.

So true man, so true. DC is boring as all hell. Very true with Cruz as well, he barely had enough time to build his name in the UFC before his injury either. Pettis is an option, I guess they didn’t let Silva do it because he had the last games cover? Still stupid not to put him in. Bisping and Faber but no Anderson Silva or Cain Velasauez… Wow I just let that sink in…
