Johny Hendricks Out To Prove He Deserves Title Shot With Win Over Kampmann | UFC NEWS
“I know everything counts on this. My whole focus is on this fight. For the most part, a lot of the submissions he gets are guillotines. I think it’s like four guillotines he’s got or something like that. I know his last one he got a guillotine on Thiago Alves.
I taught Martin Kampmann how to wrestle. I taught him how to defend shots for the longest time. To finally get to fight somebody like that, I’m just so excited. I can’t wait, like nothing else matters but that day. I’m going to be trying to hurt people.
“If I do see an opportunity, I will go in for the kill. It’s shown in a lot of my fights. You know, I’m not going to be dumb and try to just pull out a three round win. I don’t want to be a predictable fighter, that’s what I strive for.
“I didn’t have that much confidence in myself. Now, I believe that I am where I’m at. I believe that I should be fighting in the UFC and I should be fighting for a title. I get one more chance to say ‘yes, I am the number one contender, I do deserve that title shot.’”

Johny Hendricks is a very powerful fighter strong wrestling skills and a wicked knockout power but its about time Kampmann gets his title shot. Kampman will establish his distance and pick Hendricks apart from the outside with his superior technical striking skills and if Hendricks will shoot a double we all know what will happen. peace!
I like both of these guys,Hendricks has ko power for sure,but if powerful guys like drew mcfredies,ellenburger,alves,and Paul daily can’t ko him I don’t think Johnny will be able to.kampmann,I think has one of the best chins in mma.he can take a fu*king beating and come back from adversity like no other fighter I’ve seen.I think kampmann will use his technical striking to win him a UD.
