John Hathaway Talks About Return At UFC on FOX 3 | UFC NEWS

John Hathaway in an interview with Fighters Only Magazine.
On injuries
“It’s really frustrating. It’s going to be over a year since I last competed. I was already in a training camp for my last fight which was scheduled to be at UFC 138 last November, so I had to pull out because of that.”
On how he has evolved as a fighter
“I’m just a little bit more confident now, you know? My movement is better and I think I use jab a lot better than I did before. I’ve spent a lot of time plugging up some the holes that I had in my game. Stuff like being taken down during fights, but also being able to utilize my own takedowns during a fight.”
On his recent inactivity due to injuries
“I really want to fight as much as possible this year. I’ve got a really tough opponent in Pascal Krauss, and touch wood I come out injury free after this fight. I’m just going to put a lot of pressure on him, win the fight and keep on trying to win throughout the entire year.”
On Diego Sanchez claiming he was not at his best physically & mentally when he faced Hathaway
“I don’t think he was being disrespectful. He may not have been in the right mindset, but I went out there and I was the one who performed on the night. That’s all I can do as a fighter. At the end of the day I came out on top. However, I don’t think he was trying to take anything away from me.”
John Hathaway (15-1) makes his return against Pascal Krauss on May 5, 2012 at UFC on Fox 3 after being out of action for over a year since defeating Kris McCray at UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis March 26, 2011.
