Joe Rogan | Barnett Not Being In The UFC Is A Disservice To Fans
“He could be number one. It’s very possible. Barnett, not having him in the UFC is a huge disservice to MMA fans. He was great back then (in his first stint with the UFC). He beat Randy (Couture), back in the day. He’s just very seasoned. One of the most seasoned guys in the heavyweight division. When you look at quality of opponents, there’s really no one that’s fought the type of guys that he’s fought, that’s at the top right now. You know, there’s very talented guys, like dos Santos and Overeem, but when it comes to fighting the best MMA fighters and fighting the best heavyweight guys in the world, Josh, he’s right up there with everyone, with all the elites. So, I think it’s imperative that get in the UFC. I hope him and Dana become buddies. They just need one night of drinking together.”
While a guest on last night’s Inside MMA, UFC ringside commentator Joe Rogan gave his thoughts on Strikeforce heavyweight Grand Prix Finalist, Josh Barnett and his place amongst the heavyweight division.

Barnett has been busted 3 times for steroids and should be banned fro life from MMA. UFC would be setting a horrible example by bringing him back regardless.

Josh Barnett has pissed hot on three desperate occasions. He singe handedly ruined the last card affliction was supposed to show due to failing his piss test prior to fighting fedor. That was a stacked card too. He shouldn’t be licensed to fight ever again. Three strikes and youre out.
But yet he still gets licensed. He’s been clean in his last 3 fights. Guess he’s learned the hard way that fighting back in North America is totally different than in Japan. But I do agree with Rogan, Barnett would be a force (and character) to deal with in the HW division. Especially now that Lesnar is gone. Lol There isn’t anyone like Josh in the UFC. I think only the hardcore fight fans can appreciate him.
I guess it could also mean that he’s getting better at calculating his cycles.
Would love to see him in the UFC regardless one of the best heavyweights on the planet also would love to see him fight Frank Mir think it would make for a great matchup

Barrnet could take the gold in the UFC for sure. Not a fan of wrestling but his game is sooooo tight. Ice cold little to no mistakes. His last fight was practically perfect. That dude takes his opponents down at will.
