JDS Wants Rematch As Soon As Possible | UFC NEWS

“He was better and deserved the win,” said JDS. “But I used the wrong strategy. I was too worried about his takedowns and didn’t protect my face, so he hit me. When the fight was on the ground, I should have used my jiu-jitsu more – I trained it so much. But I just tried to get back up and it didn’t help me. But on the ground he is very good, very strong. I didn’t really connect with any good punches. It was disappointing, because I was feeling good, had an awesome training camp, everything was right. But that’s how fighting is … I want (a rubbermatch) now, soon. I won the first one and he got a rematch. Now I lost and I want my rematch. I’m saying I want this fight. I’ll get my belt back.”

  1. LOL says:

LOL NO. Most one sided beatdown in HW history, work your way back up.

    • azumpire says:

JDS needs to fight 1 time before getting a rematch, just like Cain had to do 1 fight before he was granted a rematch. And yes, it was the most lopsided fight in the history of the UFC`s heavyweight division.

  2. BJJJB says:

he deserves it and it would be an amazing fight!

    • korean jesus says:

i would like to see this trilogy fight, but jds got pwned. cains victroy wasnt a fluke or a controversy.

i would rather like to see jds fight overroids for #1 contender.

      either scenario will be amazing!

  3. Junior's_lumpy_head says:

JDS got his ass handed to him BAD so a automatic rematch is crazy. He should have at least one more fight just like Cain.

Cain also laid out the blue print to beating Junior and now everyone will follow. It wont be that easy getting a title shot again also stacked against him from what it sounds like Dana doesn’t want to see that fight happen for awhile.

  4. BJJB says:

agreed that immediate rubber match is unrealistic.

BUT.. don’t forget he knocked Cain out in 60 seconds 1st time round and NO-ONE ever doubted that a rematch would happen.

    What’s the difference?

Think about it.. there isn’t one. He will have to knock someone out to cement the shot though.

    • hendoooo says:

There is no difference man, the fight should of ended when Cain punched JDS out in the first round, it could of got called off then as he was wobbling around for almost 2 rounds after the punch. It could of ended, it would of been the same as the first fight. If the first fight wasn’t called off, the same thing could of happened to Cain that happened to JDS, busted up face etc.

    • Ikaika says:

so between an egotistical juicing cheater & a genuinely good man with respect, honor, & humility… you want the one who represents MMA in a good way to get retired?? hmmm… that’s pretty backwards dude.

    • woww says:

      you’re an idiot…

    • Thugg says:

Tru, Overeem will send JDS 2 retirement lyk Lesner. JDS shud work his way back up

    • CPPPPP says:

      The new definition of fluke:

Fluke. noun. A single strike or a submission move that is the result of hours of training, days of studying the opponent, countless times of losing in the gym, willingness to overcome the amount of stress of being in the octagon, picking out the best time to pull off the move while risking a massive counterstrike or takedown, and finishing the fight.

      Fucking noob.

  6. Freddy says:

Ok say Cain got rocked instead of getting Ko’d in the first fight but somehow managed to stand up and try and keep fighting even tho he was on queer st and his brain wasnt working straight…Would it still be a fluke even tho he wasnt thinking right for the rest of the match and it look one sided..what would you say then…And what if JDS just flopped out and was KO’ed when cain got him with that first big hit…Would it that have been a fluke…JDS would have went forever but its pretty hard to think straight. This loss will do him good he should be more multi dimensioned especially if he trains other styles heaps..

  7. Matt says:

Cain got his beaner ass dropped in 64 seconds…..beat up a mongoloid… a rematch. At least JDS defended his title. He deserves a rematch soon.

  8. jesse says:

Nope lol gotta start from the bottom. DC vs JDS would be good tho

  9. The Way Of The Dutchman says:

JDS got caught early and stayed in there for 5 rounds. Cain won decisively, but JDS showed he has the heart of a champ. Cain got his rematch after one win over Bigfoot so if JDS beats a contender next he should get a rematch, just like Cain.

  10. newyear says:

    Happy new year.

  11. lol says:

lol how can you call a decision match more one sided than a finish. its obvious to see that jds was completely gassed or dazed after the first round and never recovered through the rest of the fight. cain just had an epic strategy but i still hope jds comes back cuz his stand up is entertaining. roy nelson is epic now too.

  12. OLSI says:

WOW MMA Fans are bitches, JDS knocks everybody, ppl call him n1, now he loses 1 fight and ppl called it a fluke, He knocked cain out in 1 min motherfuccers how the fukk was his win a fluke?? He did same to Werdum, Yvel, Struve, Gonzaga.
In Rematch he will Destroy CAIN. Cain took him down and did nothing!! JDS is a true champion, next time Cain will get KO’d again.

    • KS says:

Wow. You are a moron. Did you see Junior’s face, or the fight for that matter? Didn’t look like the face of a man who had only been taken down. Cain completely and totally outclassed JDS in all aspects of MMA. He could have finished that fight at any point. He wanted to send a clear message to everyone as to who is the better fighter. Any fighter can throw a crazy punch and score a lucky KO on a better fighter in any given fight, if you are an educated MMA fan you know that…but you can’t throw a lucky 25 minute ass kicking. Velasquez vs JDS III??? Cain, by whatever the hell he wants. Again..

  13. Mat says:

To all the turds that where saying Cain couldnt handle JDS KO power and bla, bla, bla, there you go, your cocky champ was choped apart in the ground, clinch and boxing. JDS dont stand a chance against Cain, the 1st one was a fluke,JDS got raped in the second, end of the story.

  14. cuban samurai says:

JDS vs Cain 3 sounds awesome; but Alistair Overeem is next in line for a title shot, after he beats Big Foot Silva

  15. magoo says:

instant rematch no! that was the biggest title fight drubbing ive ever seen!Win one fight as impressively as Cain did against bigfoot then maybe, win a couple in a row then yes for sure.

  16. koreanzombie says:

Cain fucked jds up in their 2 match, but come on the first fight was no fluke. every dog has its day..

    • chris says:

cain was injured in the first fight …. im sure that made a difference… he just didnt chump out and not take the fight like he could have… but he proved who the champ was

there i said it above… BJPENN TRUE MMA you’re an idiot…

  18. Time To Wrestle says:

No just f***ing No. Make him fight Cormier before he goes to 05 and see if he can hang, if so then maybe he could give Cain a decent fight. All he ever had was a punchers chance. His wrestling sucks and TDD and fence grabbing is not enough. Cain exposed his weaknesses. He’s done. Go to 05.
