JDS Calls Out His “Lab Made” Peers As He Hints Towards Alistair Overeems Use Of PED’s | UFC NEWS

“I prefer to fight against clean athletes and real professionals. Cain is one of these guys. He’s a real professional fighter and that’s a good challenge for me. I know he’s very tough and I know how hard I have to train to face him. The other guys, they just say things but there’s nothing behind the words. Guys like me and Cain Velasquez, we are made at the gym. And guys like the other guy, they are made at the laboratory.”
UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos took to yesterday’s UFC 155 pre-fight media conference call to discuss his divisional peers and throw a few stones at Alistair Overeem for his use of performance enhancing drugs!.

Ubereem is gonna knock this fool out.. Reem is the better striker and the better ground guy
^ FINALLY!! someone who has an understanding of striking.. JDS is an unbelievable puncher, he can knock a house over, but as far as technical ability, Reem is a much more technical and polished striker. The Reem monster has faced the meaniest, nastiest strikers on the face of this planet, guys that would STEAMROLL JDS ina k-1 fight. Badr Hari and Tyrone Spong would eat JDS’s lunch. But people who are writing the Reem off as Jr’s next victim havent watched his days of terror in k-1. People are gonna be a little disapointed/surprised when JDS gets smacked down by the reem. He might not be a squeeky clean fighter, but PEDS dont give you skills like he has.
^hahaha. Once jds connects its goodnight for Alistair. Shotgun Ko’d him twice and back when he fought werdum in strikeforce werdum was landing sooo many strikes. Can’t wait til this hype dies
Im definitely not saying that’s not gonna happen. If JDS connects on a solid punch he can KO anyone.. he got stopped twice by SHOGUN early in his career, when he had to cut a massive amount of weight to make 205, he definitly is not the same guy today. And Werdum’s striking has come a LONG LONG way since he got nuked by JDS. His striking looked good against Roy Nelson. Anyway its hard to say, its a fight anything can happen. I wouldnt be surpised if JR ko’s Reem, but i also wouldnt be surprised if Reem connects witha big knee and sends JDS crashing face first into the floor! I wish they were fighting instead of Cain getting sacrificed again lol .
Yea man. I don’t see Cain wining. Agree with you the jds/reem is the fight to make
Truth is k-1 striking and mma striking are two totally different things.. Like comparing boxing to MMA’s boxing. Apples to oranges.
That is true, but it also wasn’t my point. The point i was making is that JDS would not have the same success that Overeem did if he competed in k-1. K1 striking is as close to MMA striking as it gets. Boxing is so much different b/c of no kicks. Guys can bob and weave and ridiculous shit like that and dont have to worry about getting blasted by a roundkick or a knee. Point i was making is Reem>JDS in KICKBOXING. And in other aspects of MMA people like to forget that Reem is the first person to submit Vitor Belfort. But everyone wants to just refer when he got tko’d by Shogun in his prime, and by chucky cheese when Reem was well in control of that fight.
I would love to see JDS against ” The Lab ” product.. JDS couldn’t have said it better himself being made in a gym & the other being made in a lab.. By the way.. SHOGUN KO’D Overeem how many times? Chuck Liddell did the same thing? JDS punches harder than both those guys.. No brainer.. JDS by KO!!
chuck liddell and shogun twice koed overeem. dos santos would put him to sleep first round like everyone else lol
Yea JDS has just about put everyone away quick. But answer this. Besides Mirko cro cop, JDS has primarly fought grapplers (Gonzaga, Werdum, Carwin, Struve) all those guys arent exactly known for their striking skills ,Carwin has some punching power, but nowhere near the skill level of Reem. Reem has faced the best of the best of strikers in the world. He struggled early in his career against shogun and lidell, when he was cutting a ton of weight. JDS couldnt stop Roy Nelson, or Carwin. He beat the brakes of them yea, but could not finish. Just somethin to think about….. JDS has not seen a striker with 1/4 the skill and power of Reem, it will definitly be interesting, praying it will be on a fox card!!
Overroids wouldn’t get past Big Country.
Thank you, a very insightful and true comment. I like your style. Big country is underrated. He’s the only one to go all 5 rounds with JDS and has only been striking since 09. Great fighter
It was actually 3 rounds before JDS was champion.
Shane Carwin also went the distance with JDS.
Just sounds like he wishes he was buffer lol
Jds would destroy reem. Shogun knocked his ass out twice which is why he juiced in the first place. Jds is going to go Down as the best heavyweight to ever live. After Cain and reem noone is left to even pose a threat.
would love to see Big country take overeem and do the VADA testing before he gets anywhere near Cain or JDS.
Overeem did get KO’d by Shogun and Lidell. True, but people seem to forget that Overeem had to undergo insane weightcuts as he got older. Just because his body was not fit for the 205 division anymore.
If people talking about those 205 KO’s knew a little thing about weightcutting and massive dehydrating they wouldn’t even bring it up.
The human brain floats in fluids. Now, when a fighter dehydrates himself to the extreme to make weight he loses fluid and it doesn’t get regenerated in one day. So when such fighter gets hit by a KO specialist it’s lights out because the brain doesn’t have the same padding after dehydration.
Iv been sayin the same thing.. People automatically assume “Oh he got stopped by Shogun when he was the #1 P4P fighter in the world. Its exactly like you said, the guys on here talking about his 205 days have never cut a lot of weight. It is simply impossible to be at 100% strength when the day before you were on the brink of death. It doesnt matter who you were, if you ran into Shogun in the pride ring you were ****ed anyway, 11-1 and the one loss was when he broke his arm like 10 seconds into the fight against coleman.
overeem is a glass cannon, hits hard but cannot take a punch. jds will pick overeem apart.
Overeem got his ass handed to him at top rank boxing gym in vegas by amateur boxers every sparr, he’s slow and has no head movement, i saw this 5 days straight and some of the boxers were just gym rats so i see Overeem hitting the canvas once JDS touches him on the chinny chin chin!
So you think Overeem is going to box against JDS? I think he will use his full arsenal including knees and legkicks. If any of those boxers would have a kickboxing session with him he would smoke them.
We’ll jus have to see then, JDS is faster, even at xtreme coture’s Overeem didnt do that well sparring mma he was here for over a month before joining the Blackzillians, I’ve trained in the same facilities while he was here, he ain’t gonna beat JDS..
You train at Couture’s? that’s awesome man!
I’m not saying he will easily beat JDS or maybe he won’t beat him at all because I think JDS is one of the best HW’s right now. JDS is going to smoke Cain the 29th. I do think Overeem is the only one who has the tools and style to beat him though.
You saying he didnt do well in a sparring session doesnt mean jack shit. The key word in your statement was BOXING.. Not kickboxing, not MMA, BOXING. Just watch his k-1 fights, the man is an absolute terror in striking. When a kickboxer is forced to limit his arsenal to strictly hands, their obviously not going to be as effective if he could use his full arsenal. like Xaninho said, if they were kickboxing it would be no contest. Thats awsome you’ve trained in the same place while the Reem was there, but my man you are doubting the Reem against another striker, who hasnt faced a striker anywhere near the ability of the Reem, Its easy to look like a striking force when your facing wrestlers and jitz fighters
Like i said we’ll jus have to see, I’ve watched a lot of the K-1 tournaments some i went to and Reem is for sure a good striker but Chuck Lidell dropped him with a stiff left jab..We’ll see, all i know is when it happens, I’ll be putting in my bets here in vegas on JDS, now it’s time to go and punch people in the head or get punched in the head instead of working on my typing skills…Peace out!!!
Bigfoot will knock this one hit wonder out. Beating a surgically repaired Lesnar won’t mean much afterwards. They should play Take On Me for Overroid’s introduction to the ring.
One hit wonder? 3 belts at 3 different organizations at the same time. So it’s at least a 3 hit wonder…
And Overeem will destroy Bigfoot.
lmaooo ohhh its on!!!!! WAR JDS!!!
