Jason High In Hospital After Ruptured Appendix, Out Of UFC Fight Night 35 Bout

The Ultimate Fighting Championship must now find Adlan Amagov (13-2-1 MMA) a new opponent. Jason High, who was set to face Amagov in a Jan. 15 welterweight match up at UFC Fight Night 35; was rushed to the hospital due to a ruptured appendix early yesterday (Jan. 1) morning.

Originally, as tweeted from his official twitter account, he told his fans in a joking manner–

And then, following that gem,

Then things got serious when he posted a picture of himself in the hospital.

Followed by,

Then, he explained what occurred.

High then told what the doctors had told him.

In his typical comedic fashion, he also tweeted–

He then explained that this was the first time he had been hospitalized in an emergency situation.

After arriving at the hospital, High sent out two tweets lauding Ricardo Liborio, the legendary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu trainer, who teaches High at American Top Team. Liborio apparently picked up High and took him to the hospital after his case of appendicitis.

High will need some time to recover, but he had words for the UFC brass.

Hopefully High recovers soon, and hopefully Joe Silva and the UFC find an opponent for Amagov in time for Jan. 15.
