Jake Ellenberger Hoping And Praying For Carlos Condit Rematch

“I think I should’ve been clearer on what I want and who I want to fight. I think I can beat Carlos Condit, and that’s really the fight I want. That’s the fight I’m hoping and praying for – but it’s not my decision. It’s absolutely what I want, though. I’ve fought him before, and now I’m a completely different fighter. I know I can beat him and it’s definitely the fight I want. Carlos has said he wants to wait, and while I can understand his position, it doesn’t stop me from wanting that fight.”
Fresh off the heels of his decision win over Diego Sanchez, Jake Ellenberger tells Heavy.com that he hopes and prays for a chance to redeem his only UFC loss.
Carlos Condit is reportedly waiting to unify his title with Georges St-Pierre, but if GSP is on the shelf longer than expected this match could happen.
Does Jake Deserve his shot?

He should praying fir cardio..before praying to fight Carlos… Ellenberger wouldn’t get close to lasting 5 rds with Carlos
Ellenberger for the win…
your boring to read.
He is boring as ****!Diego was the only one responsible for making that fight exciting!
he actualy countered and stayed in the poclet and definitely more exciting than condit’s last fight.
Prayer DENIED!!!!
that’s funny because Diego Sanchez is hoping and praying for a rematch with you… that fight should have totally been a 5 round fight… instead we watched 6 fights over a course of 3 hours…
He should be working on going 5 rounds..anyone who is this close to a title shot shouldn’t be gassing after 2 1/2 rounds.
I agree totally. After that Sanchez fight and because he had the same kind of cardio problems in the first Condit fight, I really think Ellenberger needs to prove himself in a 5 rounder before we assume he belongs in that very top eschelon with GSP and Condit. Of course, you can never guarantee a fight goes 4 or 5 rounds, but I do think Sanchez vs. Ellenberger 2 could be a great fight and that Sanchez deserves it. After such a fight, we could learn that it is Sanchez who deserves a shot at the belt and not Ellenberger.
