It’s Official: Ronda Rousey is the Newest Member of the UFC Roster

After much speculation and a lot of is she or isn’t she, UFC President Dana White confirmed the signing of Strikeforce Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey on “The Jim Rome Show”

White did not get into specifics nor did he mention when we will see Rousey in the Octagon. He also failed to mention any potential opponents.

Rousey was last seen submitting her sixth straight opponent, former champion Sarah Kaufman, via first round armbar in August in the main event of what has been the last Strikeforce card to date.

A rumored bout pitting Rousey and former Strikeforce 145lb. champion Cris “Cyborg” Santos seems to dead in the water because Rousey wants to compete at 135 and Cyborg has been advised not to attempt to cut the additional ten pounds.

Stay tuned to BJPenn.Com for more information as it becomes available.

Gina could make weight and be a better opponent than Cyroid, but first she’d need a tune-up against Meisha. Gina vs Meisha, Marsha, Meisha .. oh my nose.

and in other news – Pro Womens Hockey will be replacing the mens National Hockey League for the 2012-2013 season!!! It has been widely speculated that the womens HL (also called ‘tough titties league’ (TTL)) will continue once the NHL lockout has been resolved!
