Invicta FC announces new opponent for ‘Cyborg’ Santos | MMA NEWS
Invicta FC has announced that Australian Featherweight Fiona Muxlow will be the replacement opponent for Cris Santos.
Fuxlow (6-2) was already scheduled to fight on the Invicta FC 5 card, so she should be in fight shape. This is a definite jump in the caliber of opponent, but is a great opportunity for this young fighter to put a big notch on her belt. Fuxlow is coming off a tough 1st round loss to Marloes Coenen at Dream 18 via armbar submission.
Santos (10-1, 1 NC) will be fighting for the first time since December 2011, and making her debut for Invicta FC after being released by the UFC. Her last fight was against Hiroko Yamanaka in which Cyborg won via TKO, but was later overturned by the California State Athletic Commission due to failing a drug test.
Invicta FC 5 is set for April 5th at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. The fights can be seen live online PPV.
